Home Learning (COVID-19)
Please see attached this week's Learning Log and Pick and Mix. We have another 'theme' this week as May 12th marks Florence Nightingale's 200th Birthday. I hope that parents and children really enjoy the learning this week.
Thank you for sharing your child's learning again last week. Seeing all of Magpies faces whether smiling with happiness, concentrating as they worked hard or looking proud of their learning really does make me smile. Also, thank you for all of your positive feedback. I loved reading the children's responses to VE Day last week and their comparisons of themselves with the children in the World Wars. As always, our children are so honest, thoughtful and grateful.
As always, please do send me any questions or queries and I will do my best to help. Last week, I found that little sketches to explain learning concepts helped support parents. Please do ask! As always, feel free to adapt the learning to suit your child. If something becomes a challenge or a battle, then stop and ask for ideas of how to tackle it in a different way.
I will continue to monitor Class Dojo, approving Portfolio posts, providing feedback to help your child as well as sharing learning on Class Story which I hope will inspire you and your child further.
We have taken on board feedback from parents regarding the Learning Log completed form. We want to maintain strong communication between ourselves and yourselves as Parents and Carers, but we recognise your need to balance this with other commitments. Therefore, please either return the completed Learning Log form by email each Friday or, if you prefer, upload the highlights of your child's learning using the Portfolio on Class Dojo.
