As part of their science topic on habitats, today Magpie Class went out onto the school grounds on a micro habitat hunt. 🍃 🪱 🐞 🌳
It has been a busy week with smiles galore in dance and yoga. 💃 🕺 🧘♂️🤩
Robin Class and Nightingale Class have been busy exploring mathematical learning in fun ways this week, including a first trip to Forest School for Robins.
Nightingale Class are involved in a very exciting School Without Walls project working with Hauser & Wirth in Bruton. This week Eleanor joined us from the gallery to introduce the project to the children. 🎨
Our Key Stage 2 children have got off to a flying start with lots of amazing learning to be proud of 🤩. Owl Class have been exploring their first class book, Stone Age boy🦴, Kingfisher Class have created amazing ‘Brilliant Brain’ artwork 🧠 🎨 and Falcon Class have been creating 1920s dances 💃🕺as well exploring their class book Deadly Dare Mysteries by Malorie Blackman.
A fantastic return for Nightingale and Magpie Classes. Nightingales have already started exploring their new enquiry about the Great Fire of London in creative ways. 🔥 Magpie Class arrived to find a beanstalk that had grown through their classroom ceiling sparking the beginning of their Traditional Tales unit.It has been wonderful to welcome our youngest children back to St Aldhelm’s full of smiles and to see how quickly they have settled back to fantastic learning. 🤩💚💛

The hunt is on! 🦋🐞🐛🕷We are so proud to be part of the amazing Eco-Arts Festival Shepton Mallet Bugs and Grubs Trail. Don't forget to scan the VR codes displayed alongside the insects to view the fact files made our children to learn more about the bugs. How many can you tick off before August 10th? ✅️

The rain didn’t stop the smiles at the Doulting Village Fete! 🌞 Thank you so much to everyone who came along to support as well as the performers including Owl Class Dancers, The Chapel Dance Studio and the Circus Skills Crew. Also an enormous thank you to the members of The Friends of St Aldhelm's School, the children who ran stalls, St Aldhelm’s Church and the Doulting Social Group.
