  • Golden Mile Launch

    We are delighted to announce that our school will be participating in a new exercise initiative called The Golden Mile. The Golden Mile is a safe, simple and measurable health initiative aiming to inspire and encourage the school community through physical activity with the focus on fun, rewarding personal achievement, raising money and school competition.  

    Our Golden Mile Team are leading the initiative and began by presenting the idea to the whole school. They will be responsible for uploading individual children's laps onto the portal and sharing running totals with us all.

  • Learning Showcase - February Enquiry Projects

    It was wonderful to welcome so many parents, carers, grandparents and family members to our Learning Showcase on Friday 14th February. This showcase focused on the learning that has taken place throughout each class’s enquiry project for the term.

    Children were proud to show their work in books and on display as well as sharing the activities in the classrooms with visiting adults. Thank you for all the great feedback you shared with staff.

  • Running Club at the Mendip Cross Country Race

    On a very cold and muddy Tuesday afternoon, 9 runners from St Aldhelm’s headed to Millfield to compete in the Mendip School’s Cross Country Race. All the runners showed great resilience and perseverance through the extremely tough conditions. We had runners in all four events. Lola G in lower school girls, Alfie, Corey and Jamie lower school boys, Freya B, Freya E and Katherine upper school girls and Harry G and Finley upper school boys. It was fantastic to see the children cheering on their team mates showing such amazing team spirit. The children should be extremely proud of themselves and their achievements.

  • Hoodwinked - A Musical Performance by Year 5&6

    Wow, we have some musical and dramatic talent here at St Aldhelm's! Children performed a stage version of the story of Robin Hood, 'Hoodwinked', on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th January. There can't be a better way to brighten up a gloomy January evening, than to sit back and enjoy being entertained by our children. Thank you children for all your hard work to practice lines, songs and dramatic direction and be ready for the night. Thank you parents for providing costumes, joining us and your wonderful feedback - you must all be so proud.
