Published 06/06/24We started our new term exploring the Jigsaw PSHE focus ‘Changing Me’ looking ahead to the new experiences of Term 6 and what we need to grow, change and flourish. There were some fantastic reflections from the children including how tests can be exciting and why they are good for us as a chance to show all that we have learned and how we have grown. Mrs Phillips shared her new hobby and the mixed feelings that come with new experiences but how we can embrace these new opportunities to enable us to be the best that we can be.

Published 06/06/24What a before and after for our wellbeing garden! We are so grateful to have been gifted, from Wainwright Aggregates, four lorry loads of stone and the men with wheelbarrows to move it into position. The transformation in one day is amazing. Our Wellbeing Group who have led the delighted with the progress. Next we need to decide how to spend the money from the Tesco blue tokens to finish the project off!

Published 27/05/24We had a fantastic lesson in Science where Y5/6 Falcons became the teacher and shared their knowledge on circuits and electricity with Y1 Nightingales. They shared their understanding of the different components, what makes a complete circuit and how to make a light bulb light up. Nightingales were fantastic and could share lots and create accurate circuits by the end of the lesson. Falcons also enjoyed hearing about Nightingales Science on animal classification. As Falcons covered this earlier in the year, it was great to hear the discussions between the children.

Published 27/05/24Owl Class welcomed Cat from the Creative Arts Theatre Company
for an Egyptian Workshop day. As the vast majority of the cost of a trip out is now spent on coach transport, we welcomed our visitor so that the children could gain lots of new learning and apply all of their Egyptian learning in a more cost effective way for parents! It was a fantastic day and so lovely to hear the positive comments from children and parents too as Owls loved sharing their learning with their families at home too, some sharing the Egyptian booklet that they took home many times! #learningtogether #lifeinallitsfullness

Published 25/05/24Some members of our Reception Robins brought in some chirpy visitors this week. 🥚 🐣 🐥 Robins loved learning about them and getting the chance to hold them. Year 1 Nightingales also came to see them applying their animals' learning, thinking about which animal classification group they belong to and how they might know. 🐥 🦎🐸🐕🐠
