Year One Autumn 2006 - Class Teachers Mrs S Pearson and Mrs F Yates

Class One have settled into the class routine very easily. They recently took an afternoon "flight" to France, as part of their Geography curriculum. The Pilot seemed to know where to go without any previous experience! They look after their two teachers really well and remind them (tactfully) if their memories have a temporary glitch!

They have just painted delightful pictures of all the staff, which are displayed on the classroom display boards (see right). They are excellent at bringing in their daily reading books, answering the register in French and show an amazing enthusiasm for all lessons. The children have been learning to make choices, and how to decide if something is fair or not. They will soon be researching the traffic around the school and the nearby play facilities, with a view to improving the local environment.
