Dear Parents,

We have arranged an educational visit for class four on Tuesday 6^th February, next Tuesday. We will visit a synagogue to further develop the pupil’s understanding of Judaism which we are studying in RE. We will also take part in a tour of Bristol Harbour on a passenger boat, which will allow the children to view Bristol from a different perspective. The cost of this trip, which includes the cost of the coach and the boat trip, is £7 per pupil. Please return as soon as possible. We appreciate that this is short notice but we were unable to confirm the boat trip until this week.

Your child will need to bring to bring a ‘break time’ snack, a packed lunch and sufficient water/soft drinks for the day. As we will be spending some of the time outdoors, they will also need to make sure that they have a coat, in case of rain, and a small bag/backpack in which to carry their lunch/coat. Your child will need to wear school uniform for this trip.

If you are happy for your child to take part in this activity, please complete and return the attached reply slip along with your voluntary donation of £7.00 by Tuesday 6^th February.

Also if your child normally has school lunches and requires a packed lunch from school would you kindly tick the box on the reply slip.

I am aware that:

(a) except for visits abroad, insurance arrangements are that the Authority only provides cover against proven negligence by the Authority and its employees.

(b) I should consider making my own insurance arrangements for personal accident cover for my son/daughter.
