St Aldhelm's is a warm and welcoming village school: children of all ages feel safe and secure here, enjoy their learning, relish challenges, and play happily together. Our large grounds, excellent facilities and dedicated staff provide children with the best opportunities to develop as caring, confident and unique individuals.
St Aldhelm's is a Voluntary Aided Church school with a strong Christian ethos and a positive partnership with our local church. Christian values such as kindness, perseverance, truthfulness, friendship and service underpin our daily life in school. We encourage children to be reflective and considerate of others’ needs, as well as of their own: we support children to show themselves at their best, in all ways, and to develop academically, socially, personally and spiritually.
Our talented staff work with the children to tailor learning experiences to their needs and interests. We have consistently high expectations of children’s behaviour and attitudes to learning, and we believe firmly that all can achieve. We encourage active parental/carer involvement in their children’s schooling. By working together, we can ensure all our children flourish.
Our children develop a love of learning, are well-motivated, and take pride in themselves. From the moment they join us to the day that they leave at the end of Year Six, they are encouraged to be kind and considerate, to develop their diverse range of gifts and talents, and to fulfil their potential. Each child is unique: during their time at St Aldhelm's, we want your child to be happy, to discover their strengths, and to value themselves for what makes them who they are.
We warmly welcome visits to our busy, vibrant school:please contact Mrs Barnett, our School Office Manager, to make an appointment.
