  • everyone should be listened to;
  • every child has the right to feel safe at school;
  • positive behaviour should be recognised and nurtured;
  • high standards in punctuality, politeness, standard of dress, presentation of work are important;
  • each person has the right to learn without disruption.

Provide the highest standards of teaching and learning

  • 'teaching and learning' is central;
  • pupil success is linked to high expectations;
  • there is always more to learn;
  • teachers need support to do their jobs effectively;
  • high quality adult-child interaction results in effective learning;
