International Pages - Jamaican Workshop

In January we had a visit from the Jamaican Story-Tellers Gloria and Roger (www.storytree.co.uk). We learned about Jamaican stories and music and about how people can move to live in a different town or country.

We are singing a Jamaican song with Gloria. Look at all the fruit on the market stall. Our singing was recorded for a CD and we have designed a front cover using the fruit for inspiration.

We are trying to recognise the fruit we are looking at.

We are using percussion instruments to accompany the story about Anancy and Firefly.

Here is some of our Artwork.

Reception Class used pastels to draw the Jamaican Fruit.

Year Five made the Jamaican Flag with the fruit.

Year Four Looked at The Gardener By Guiseppe Arcimboldo and made a Fruit Face.
