To
celebrate Chinese New Year, the children in Year Three and Year Six
spent the day working together on two projects. They helped each other
to make really colourful Chinese dragon ornamental masks, using recycled
plastic milk bottles, tissue paper and lots of gluey water. All the
children also got involved at various stages with making the face and
body of the giant Chinese dragon which they later paraded in front of
the school. The masks went home with the children; the giant dragon
remains on guard in our shared cloakroom!
To
end the day. All the children went to the Hall to show what they had
produced. The children took it in turns to parade in front of the rest
of the school.
