ACTION TRACK CAME TO STAY
By Olivia King

Action Track came to stay for two weeks and Years 5, 6 and Croscombe made a performance in just these two weeks. Their names are: Nick, Rachel, Ed, Cindy and Jason. They were great fun.

We started our first week by learning Zip Zap Boing. We also learnt our songs that were: Digging in the ice, I don't like sunshine and Bonjour bonjour. We made up Ian too. He is our invisible friend.

In week two we played more games and did art and Felicity and I made our seagull. We started with a frame of willow, then we covered it with fabric. We learnt our steps, learnt our lines and finished our play as well.

My part was on the Ss, sssssss I said "Don't be such a woos we haven't even left the harbour." and "Iceberg there it is iceberg." I also was the leg of the Eiffel Tower called Craig.

On the day of the performance we had tea at school. I had leek and potato soup. My group went first and we said our lines clearly and we remembered our dance moves so it was really good
AND IT WAS FUN!

This is what some people said about Action Track. Katie aged 10 said she liked Zip Zap Boing. Hayley, aged 9 also liked Zip Zap Boing. Katy aged 9 liked Larry the bull. Miss Beer aged 43 adored the penguin and my Mum aged 41 said she liked our seagull.
I am really looking forward to it next year.

St.Aldhelms and Croscombe did Action Track, in September. The people from Action Track are:
Nick, Cindy, Ed, Jason and Rachel.
We prepared a show in two weeks. When we did not do Action Track we did bullying in the classroom.

On the first week we played games like:
Zip zap boing, bomb the shield, clapping and syllables. We also learnt songs called:
King of the castle, Guests that say too long and In a Peaceful Place. We also did dance routines.

On the second week we learnt two way street. We did ART IT WAS FUN. There was one time when it took a long time rehearsing it.

Well my bit was long live my mum, because someone else said Long live the king.
Well my other bit is "Long live my grandpa," because some one said "Long live the queen."
Me and William did a very funny bit. I went in a LOW voice. ''I will be on side King Pineapple. You recognize the power when you see it'', '' I actually recognize an idiot when I see it'', '' I BEG YOUR PARDON'', '' What happened to your other friend?'' and ''I don't know and I don't care he did not want to be friends with the king of the castle."

On the final day we did not go home after school because we needed to practice and have tea.
I SPRAYED MY HAIR!!!!!!!!COOL!!!!!!!!!!!
My mum and dad and of course BOB, (my Sister) was in the audience.

These are my mum's opinions: she thought it was very good. She liked digging in the ice, because she liked the melody. She liked the bit was I say long live my mum. She also liked the bit when group 2 got on the boat.

I am really looking forward to Action Track next time.

Action Track - by Alice Webb.

Action Track is a performance group who travel from school to school. In the group there was a girl called Cindy, Nick, Ed, and Jason. Jason was my favourite because he was so funny. But also a school from Croscombe came to our school every day to help make the play.

In the first week we mostly just played games like zip zap bong and bomb and shield and one more game named syllables that one was hard! We also learnt our song words my favourite song was Peaceful Place mostly because I was singing on the mike. Also in the first week we made up little plays about pop star and other famous people.

Although the first week was fun it did not have much drama which is what Action Track is all about. However in the second week we mostly just learnt our lines and things like that. But right at the end of the second week came the funniest part of Action track, the best, the funniest, PAINTING!!!!!! We had a big blue canvas I have never painted like that before. We painted a picture of a king and queen and a castle.
The next day Friday we stayed in school for 3 hours too many. I was so so nervous. My mum said it was all really good but she like the guest who stayed to long because it sounded like a song from Shriek 2 but she but she also loved Peaceful Place because it had really nice actions. But Emily from Year Five preferred king of the castle.

After the performance ever one was really proud of are selves and each other. And all of our parents were also proud and they really liked the show, we hope!

This term we were really lucky because Action Track came to us.
Action Track is company that help you with your singing and dancing and acting. Their names were Nick, Cindy, Rachel, Jason, and Ed and we had a school called Croscombe who joined us for 2 weeks.

In the first week we split up into groups. When we did Action Track, we learned our songs and made up dramas. My favourite song was bonjour, bonjour. But on the days we were not doing Action Track we were talking about bullying.

During the second week we learned our dances. It was really fun.
After that we all got into groups and made stories up for our play.
Our play was about a ship that got shipwrecked on the shores of Antarctica. The next day we did Action Track we were painting, I got messy but it was funny.

My line was the really important. I had to say the "Frozen wastes of Antarctica". It was the first line in the show. It was really scary. For the second line I had to sound like a frozen person.
Finally it was the show. I was really nervous so was everyone else. When we got changed there was a photographer. We all got on the stage and we had to put our hands out. Then the other group came in and we saw each other plays. Then we had dinner. Next we went in the hall and everybody's parents were there. We did our plays then sang our song together. Mr Whitewick was there and all the parents clapped.

Jo 35 my mum said that it was the best show she had seen in along time. And she thought that it was really colourful and the singing and dancing was great. Jo also said that her daughter Charlotte sang her heart out and can't wait for next years show.

Marie 10 in Class 5 said that her best song was Bonjour, Bonjour and her best part was dancing and her favourite game was Zip, Zap Boing.
