Last weeks' market was a big success and
raised a whopping £91.50 in the space of around 45 minutes! Well done to Year 2 and thank you to those
who brought in items to sell and to those who sold them. It has to be said that this has been the best
market since September and the challenge is now on for the next market to beat
it...
Our disco on Friday was enjoyed by those who
braved the terrible weather.
The face painting was both entertaining and
challenging (you should have heard the requests we had!) and the sweets and hot
dogs sold well - we made a profit of £128.12.
The final disco of the year is on Friday 13th July (not an unlucky one
we hope) and we are planning to have a Themed disco. More news on this later .
Our Sponsored Marathon was also a great
success. We have now counted up all
the money from the sponsorship forms that we
have had back and are pleased
to announce that we raised £912.15. Many thanks to you all, to your
families and to your friends for the very generous
donations. (By the way,
a few of you did pledge some money on the day
and have yet to pay it - could
you possibly pop into the office asap and hand
in your cash - thanks!)
Thank you to all who cleared out their jewellery
boxes, drawers etc. and returned their unwanted or broken items. The fundraising company have now collected
all the items and will recycle them accordingly. We will let you know in a future newsletter
how much was raised. The winner of the
MP3 player was Bethany Lovell. Well
done.
