From the Headteacher:
I
have returned from
Actiontrack’s Nick Brace has been in school during the week
working with Year Six pupils on a composing project. The pupils joined with children from
Croscombe and Oakhill for a day’s workshop today to finish the project.
Year 3 and Year 4 brass lessons did not take
place today because of the Actiontrack workshop but will take place on Monday
instead. Year 5 brass will take place as normal.
Year 5 performed their play, a version of the traditional Russian story ‘Ivan
the Fool’, to an audience of juniors and parents yesterday. Congratulations to them for an enjoyable
performance.
Piano and Guitar concert: I
very much enjoyed listening to our piano players and guitarists at a concert
they gave yesterday to an audience of family and friends. It was wonderful to see and hear how much
progress children had made with their playing.
Congratulations to all involved.
Wellie Walk Wednesday: On
Wednesday we shall be leading our children to school across the fields as part
of our campaign to get more pupils walking.
Details will be sent out in a separate letter on Monday but I hope your
children will consider joining in.
Maybe you too would like the exercise!
Cross-Country: Well done
to all participants in the cross country event this week. A special mention is needed, though, for
Ella Rose Bazley Jackson who came 2nd and Hazel Papadopoulos 21st.
